THE LATEST IN MEDICAL PRACTICE - FOR GOOD HEALTH
In the days 17-20 May 2011 Inter Expo Centre-Sofia hosted the 45th edition of the International Specialised Exhibition BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL.
The most prestigious event in the medical field in South East Europe is traditionally held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and supported by the Bulgarian Medical Association and the Bulgarian Dental Association.
Direct exhibitors were 209 manufacturers, retailers and distributors from Bulgaria, Austria, Italy, China, Germany, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Greece, Latvia and other countries. They presented the products of 997 companies from 50 countries.
New direct participants in the exhibition were 52 companies.
For the third consecutive year, BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL hosted the National Participation of companies from South Korea, which showcased their products in separate areas of the health and dental sector of the exhibition respectively.
Professionals from hospitals and outpatient care, diagnostic and consulting centers, medical and dental clinics visited the exhibition and had the opportunity to acquaint with the new and innovative solutions for diagnosis and treatment exposed.
BULMEDICA showcased new generations of detectors, digital mobile imaging devices and systems (digital, conventional, portable). Innovative ultrasound and video systems - endoscopic systems, defibrillators and other equipment, allowing precise visualization in various clinical applications and drawing the future of imaging, were also part of the exponents.
Multifunctional neonatal incubators, equipment for chemical treatment of viruses, bacteria and parasites, electromagnetic equipment for rehabilitation after injuries and innovations in orthopaedics (a new artificial arm and a hydraulic knee with electronic control), equipment for emergency medical assistance and others were among the exhibits.
The exhibition also presented the latest generation of devices for electrotherapy, technology for bio-resonance therapy, 4D ultrasound diagnostic systems, radio frequency electrical knives, ENT microscope with LED illumination, products for disinfection as well as many other modern devices and technologies for the modernisation of hospitals, private medical practices, doctors' rooms and others.
BULDENTAL, divided into dental care and dental technics, offered the latest achievements in the field of dentistry - equipment, devices and instruments for dental, medical, cosmetic surgeries and dental technics laboratories, dental and dental technics materials and supplies, X-ray and dental offices equipment, products and preventive practice for the oral hygiene and others.
Devices that set the standards in dental imaging, last generations of panoramic X-ray systems, the new LED + tools, fully automated sterilizers and new additions to the range of autoclaves.
Dentists had the opportunity to acquaint with the innovations in the rapidly developing field of implants - a series of suggestions for successful treatment and aesthetic procedures like bone substitute materials, making a whole tooth over the implants using the most aesthetic material – glass ceramics, products for bone and tissue regeneration in implantology, oral and maxillofacial surgery and others.
For the second consecutive year, BULDENTAL demonstrated live operations for implants placing, including interesting cases with innovative implant systems and presented innovative treatment methods for the first time.
Experts consulted dentists on cases in the field of implantology and oral surgery. The exhibition presented useful information for the professionals developing in the field of dental medicine.
Dental Tribune Study Club interactive site for dental education is already in Bulgaria. The exhibition presented officially the Bulgarian version of the platform DT Study Club, offering interactive online live courses all day long, 7 days a week, discussion forums, video review, products, reviews of clinical cases and many more.
In response to the appeal of dentists for constant care and prevention, the exhibition offered specialized products for oral hygiene - a wide range of interdental brushes for different purposes, toothpastes, mouth waters, gels and sprays, full range of products for oral hygiene of children all ages and more.
The exhibition offered a wide range of clothing and personal protective equipment for the convenience and comfort of health professionals. There were consultations on the spot for funding (investment and working capital loans) the purchase or modernisation of health facilities and their equipment.
Traditionally, BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL offered the professionals a rich and useful attending program.
The Executive Agency for Transplantation with the support of the Bulgarian Medical Association and Bulgarreklama Agency organized a three-day conference Patients and Physicians about Organ Donation and Transplantation (17 - 19 May) that drew a significant interest. The conference presented new trends and achievements in several recent fields: donation, organ transplants, in vitro, psychology, emergency medical care.
A discussion forum Access to Health - Truths and Forecasts, which discussed recent issues of Bulgarian healthcare, organised by.Bulgarreklama Agency in partnership with Forum Medicus and the Bulgarian National Radio was held on 17 May.
The association Sofia Dental Meeting in cooperation with Bulgarreklama Agency organised a four-day theoretical and practical conference on Aesthetics and Implants. The practical courses and lectures were of great interest for the dental specialists. More than 12 eminent Bulgarian and foreign lecturers participated in the event.
The journal Dental Tribune continued the tradition of the National Competition Smile of the Year and the cases of all participants in this year's competition were presented during the exhibition.
The media in cooperation with Bulgarreklama Agency published the business guide today, dedicated to BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL, which presented the latest exhibits and exciting events of the exhibition. today is the official publication of IDS, Cologne and is licensed by Dental Tribune International.
During BULMEDICA, the National Patient Organization and Bulgarreklama Agency organized free daily examinations for socially significant diseases - respiration measurement, thyroid and hepatitis B and C screening, consultations for allergies and osteoporosis, which the visitors and guests of the exhibition greeted by showing their considerable interest.
The National Association for the Fight against Hepatitis "Hepasist" promoted within BULDENTAL the campaign for the use of disposable dental instruments in dental surgery as a means of prevention against the hepatitis B virus.
The attending program of BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL offered a number of relevant demonstrations, seminars, trainings, presentations of equipment and products from public health practice useful to the medical community.
BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL as a highly specialised forum made it possible science and business to meet again.
